Bloopy flowers
Trying to stay loose with the paint brush. Holding it way back near the end of the handle, it’s amazing how much that loosens my whole arm.
I bought the Gennine Zlatkis watercolor book quite awhile ago - I love her colors - but kinda surprisingly haven’t reached for it much. It’s funny how books will hit at just the right time though. I picked it up yesterday and found so many of her tips and techniques I was finally knowledgeable enough to understand. [Note to self: Look into acrylic inks and Aqua boards]. So that one is staying out on the painting table. The Klee book was a complete impulse buy on a used book site - I just fell in love/obsession with the cover and I can already tell this is going to be a book I pore over. I love Klee!
I have a Didem Mert plate on my wall with this general shape layout. Used that as inspo and some of my favorite colors to put my own spin on it.
My new-ish palette, I bought the whole thing, with paints in the pans like so, off of Mercari. It’s been a great purchase. I’m happy with the paint quality. I still have my other palette with half-pans but I’m finding I like the mixing space available on this one. -B 🤸
